An aerial boom lift, cargo vans and golf carts will be among the items available at a public auction later this month at Indianapolis International Airport. The December 14 event will also include items that have been lost or found at the airport. Key Auctioneers of Avon will run the auction.

Indianapolis, Ind. – The Indianapolis Airport Authority will hold a public auction at the Indianapolis Maintenance Center (IMC) on Tuesday, December 14 at 10 a.m.
The general public is invited to attend the auction as well as a preview and inspection day that will take place on Monday, December 13 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Both the auction and the preview day will be held at the IMC, which is located at 2745 South Hoffman Road in Indianapolis. Attendees should follow the signs for the IMC Deliveries Gate (Gate 35), where they will be directed to auction parking.
A large assortment of general shop equipment, machines, tools, furniture, scrap metal of all types, and a wide array of other items will be auctioned.
Specific items that will be sold include an aerial boom lift, mowing equipment, computer equipment, paint guns and parts, pallets and pallet jacks, reamers, trash receptacles, hose reels, work benches, storage cabinets and shelves, TVs, tables, and more. Vehicles are
expected to include cargo vans, a pick-up truck, golf carts, and an aircraft tow tractor.
Auction lots will also include items that have been lost or found at the Indianapolis International Airport passenger terminal, such as iPODs, cell phones, jewelry, cameras, and other items.
The last time a auction was held at the IMC was in 2008. The airport authority held a large public auction at the old passenger terminal on High School Road in 2009 which yielded $1 million in proceeds.
Online registration in advance of the Dec. 14 public auction is not required, although those who attend the preview event on Dec. 13 may register in advance.
